The Trinity – fact or fiction?

A central doctrine of most sects of Christianity is the belief that God is one, but consists of three beings who are coequal and yet uniquely different in ways that cannot be explained nor understood. While admittedly incomprehensible, this doctrine is said to be crucial for properly understanding what God is. Is the Trinity essential to Christianity? Is it something that must be accepted? Does the divine nature of Christ, and His status as our Savior, depend entirely on a doctrine that cannot be explained nor understood? This booklet analyzes the triad concept from a Biblical perspective including gendered terms of linguistics, the asserted qualities of person-hood, and the controversial text that was added to the Apostle John’s first letter centuries after his death. It also considers confessions of trinitarian religious leaders who admit the that concept is not supported by the Bible. In addition, we have included an unbiased examination of what the Holy Spirit is and the soon to be expanded family of God. A thorough study proves, without a doubt, whether or not the Trinity is fact or fiction.
