A bulla is a round seal that was once affixed to an official document. These seals would indicate who the document came from. Many bulla have been found in archaeological digs. Some came from people who are named in the Bible. The following are seals from dignitaries during the time of Jeremiah who were opposed to the work and words of God’s prophet (Jeremiah 38). The first impression reads “belonging to Jehucal son of Shelemiah son of Shovi”. The second impression reads “Gedaliah son of Pashur”
