While some contest this site, approximately 25 miles east of the Gulf of Aqaba sits a unique rock protruding 75 feet into the air that has been split unknown thousands of years ago. Though this region has a a long history of little rainfall, there is evidence of massive water erosion around the base and throughout the surrounding area. This area lay within the borders of Saudi Arabia whose officials openly recognize it as an archaeological site, but will not allow studies to take place. The likely reason is because it is not in their best interest to have evidence of ancient Israel, and the God of the Jews, in their territory.
